The Sharks acquired 6-foot-5, 220-pound defenseman Brent Burns and a 2012 Second Round Pick from the Minnesota Wild for right wing Devin Setoguchi and Charlie Coyle and the 28th Overall Pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.



The Sharks concluded the 2011 NHL Entry Draft with six selections including four forwards and two defensemen. San Jose traded their second round pick (59th overall) in addition to their third round pick in 2012 to Florida in order to move up to No. 47 and select Matthew Nieto from Boston University.
