National River Cleanup Day May 17, 2014On May 17, 2014 the San Jose Sharks will be teaming up with the Creek Connections Action Group to participate in National River Cleanup Day. We invite you to come out and help beautify the Guadalupe River, which runs right through SAP Center’s backyard. The Sharks cleanup site runs along the Guadalupe from Coleman Avenue to Julian Street, with a meeting point at the creek trail entrance across from the Coleman Shopping Center lot. The cleanup runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and all supplies will be provided.
All volunteers need to register beforehand by visiting here.
Everyone who participates at the Sharks site will be entered into a raffle to win cool Sharks prizes! Please join the effort to keep our creeks and lakes clean and healthy!
The Creek Connections Action Group (CCAG) is made up of several city municipalities throughout Santa Clara County, as well as the Santa Clara Valley Water District and the West Valley Clean Water Program. The May 17 cleanup efforts are spread all over the county, with 50 sites dedicating themselves to numerous local creeks, rivers, and reservoirs.
